| Résumé : | The first part of the report presents briefly the geography, the climate and the territories of Canada. A short description of some of the interesting facts that make British Columbia a very unique environment in North America will follow. Next, the consulting engineering company (Urban Systems Ltd.) will be presented along with describing its main activities and clients. The Richmond’s human resources and some under going projects will end the background introductionof the internship.
The second part of the report will present the two main projects where I had a direct interaction with each of my coaches. The first study presents the process of an Electoral Area that decides to implement a water conservationstrategy. The second project is a design study to facilitate the retrofit of a stormwater detention pond. The methodology of the two studies will be described and the preliminary results will be presented.
To close, the report will discuss why the management of this organization is different compared to the other companies with which I have experience. A review of some difficulties during the internship is discussed and how communication is important to adapt. I will emphasize the technical and human success of this exciting experience in a Western Canadian engineering company. | Type de document : | Mémoire | Permalien de la notice : | https://infodoc.agroparistech.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=136776 |
