Résumé : |
The populations of cervids have been steadily increasing in recent decades. This increase has a significant impact on forest management, especially during the forest regeneration phase. To address this issue, there are various solutions, but this report will focus on the option of feeding areas and, in particular, their quality. Today, many studies focus on the quantity of available forage and pay little attention to its quality. However, this is an equally important aspect in the dietary selection of cervids. To highlight this, the report will specifically examine the case of moose in Sweden. Furthermore, after demonstrating this aspect, a study on the impact of the forest environment, such as stand composition, stand area, soil pH, light, ... on the quality of ericaceous plants will[...]

Furthermore, after demonstrating this aspect, a study on the impact of the forest environment, such as stand composition, stand area, soil pH, light, ... on the quality of ericaceous plants will be presented. The aim of this report is to emphasize the impact of forest management on the quality of forage. Mastering this aspect could potentially help reduce the browsing of plantations.
