Résumé : |
This dissertation is a cross-problematisation of the issues of ecosystem-centred accounting and rewilding. It is the result of an internship supported by the AgroParisTech Ecological Accounting Chair, during which six months were spent immersed in Abruzzo Region in Italy with Rewilding Apennines. This thesis proposes to test the conceptual model of ecosystem-centred accounting with rewilding issues, through a field study. The first part presents a structuring of the scientific theories of rewilding in Europe and provides keys for analysing the debates that animate this field with regard to the conceptual model. We then analyse the historical context of Central Apennines through the conservation issues of its emblematic species, the Marsican brown bear. We then examine the issues raised by the recent deployment of a local rewilding strategy triggered by Rewilding Europe funding in 2018. Finally, we carry out an accounting design exercise to accompany the creation and institutionalisation of a model of human-bear coexistence at the municipal level - Bear Smart Communities. |
