Résumé :	"Anselm Strauss presents a new paradigm for studying the key role of negotiations in social order - an analytic framework that applies to individuals, organizations, and entire societies. Strauss shows that current theories of negotiation are deficient because they are based on single areas of research - such as labor bargaining or international diplomacy - and do not consider the larger contexts in which negotiation occurs. Strauss' paradigm takes into account negotiation settings, the great variety of negotiations, and alternative approaches, which include persuasion, appeal to authority, coercionn, and force."
