Résumé : |
La quatrième de couverture indique :"This book is a follow-up from the CASSINI International Workshop, held in Paris in April 1997. Most of the talks given by the attendees were then revised and written down to form the material for its chapters. The object of Data Quality in Geographic Information is to cover the divers aspects of the links between data quality in geographic information and its use in application models. The sub-title, "From Error and Uncertainly", indicates the interest that the authors had concerning the use of imperfect data, way beyond the co-ordinate precision description problem. The position of data quality information is addressed and argued by using several veiwpoints; from category theory to non-monotonic logics, and from fuzzy computing to constaint programming. Various applications are used to illustrate the effects of data quality management on the genral assessment of spatial analysis. Among these applications are hydrology, pedology, digital terrain models and viewsheds, cadastre renovation, urban data updating, postal addresses, etc." |
