Résumé : |
This research project is inscribed as one action of the network of research and codevelopment of Indian Ocean products, QualiReg (www.qualireg.org). The study aims at assessing and comparing the potential risk factors/hazards alleviating the development of beekeeping and their spatial distribution in four pilot areas of Madagascar. Pesticides residues in honeys, bee mortality, varroa contamination of hives, bushfires, destruction/decrease of melliferous floral resources are the hazards highlighted by the study and used to develop qualitative indicators of risk. During the fieldwork quantitative, qualitative and spatial data collection’s methods were applied, then data analysis, risk indicators creation and aggregation of the information in a geographic information system were implemented, conducting to the final maps creation. The results of the study with the indicator’s creation, try to validate and improve the methodology, in the optic of further applications at different geographical scales, considering the substantial within-region heterogeneity. The cartography of the study sites is entered in a web-mapping tool(www.margouilla.net/qualireg), which can be used and explored by the stakeholders. In this context, the mapping related to honey contamination of phytosanitary products shows how research results can be transferred to a larger public to improve knowledge and to address decision makers on the topic. |
