Résumé :	The German Federal Ministry of Education and Research has spent around €6 million ($7.9 million) to finance 24 research projects on adapting time-tested technologies to the boundary conditions of other countries and regions. Hermann Orth and Peter Wulf discuss a new programme, which began this January, which will validate the results in pilot-scale and full-scale treatment plants.
