This book brings together our understanding of the structure and properties of cellular solids and the ways in which they can be exploited in engineering design. By unifying the modelling of many different types of cellular solid (for instance, engineering honeycombs, foams, wood, cancellous bone, cork), similarities in the behaviour in these diverse materials are explained.
