The management of grassland and its role in the countryside has changed considerably during the ten years since the last edition of Grass was published. The book has therefore been completely reorganised and rewwritten to reflect these developements and the corresponding changes to the undergraduate curriculum. The emphasis continues to be on the agricultural management of grassland but includes recent developments in agronomy, nutrition, grazing, forage conservation methods, and the changing nature of farml economics in relation to changes in the basis for farm support.
