Résumé :	A survey was conducted to estimate the present status of wildlife and waterfowl, in the Reed Forests areas under Sylhet Forest Division from February ti June, 1995. The time period selected for this study commensurate with the arrival of migratory birds. Total 132 species of wildlife were identified/ 5 species (3,78%) of amphibians; 14 species (10,52%) of reptiles in wich 3 species is turtle and tortoise, 5 species of lizard and 6 species of snake, 10 species of (7,51%) mammals were recorded. 103 species of (78,19%) birds in which 9 species of birds of prey, 34 species of waterfowl and 60 species of the other birds were also estimated during the study period. Among 103 species of birds, 21 (20,19%) were migratory and the rest were resident.
