Résumé : |
The experiment describes the performance of tree species viz. Emblica officinalis, Hardwickia binata and Colophospermum mopane in arid region of Rajasthan and their interactive effect on crop during establishment period. The survival of the species varies from 93% for C. mopane to 74% for H. binata. Further, the percentage of survival was higher under cropped area in comparison to uncropped area. At the age of 23 months, the maximum height and collar diameter (CD) were attained by E. officinalis (202 and 3,5cm) followed by H. binata (143 and 2,1cm) and C.mopane (132 and 1,9cm). The plants were significantly taller but thinner in cropped area than in uncropped area. There were no significant differences in production of mungbean (Vigna radiata) in 1994 and clusterbean (Cymopsis tetrago[...]

There were no significant differences in production of mungbean (Vigna radiata) in 1994 and clusterbean (Cymopsis tetragonoloba) in 1995, under different tree species in comparison to control. The moisture was higher in uncropped area during cropping season (September) while the trend was reverse |
