Résumé : |
We first present multilinear tools, thought to be of basic importance in data analysis of multiway arrays (MWA). We then recall results in Component Analysis of matrices. Generalisation leads elther to TUCKER models or to PARAFAC/CANDECOMP models. Although a great confusion may be noticed in litterature, we believe that those two familles of models should be split apart. We then develop the study of TUCKER-3 model, through a simplification of KROONENBERG & DE LEEUW (1981) proof of the (local) convergence algorithm. TUCKER model is easely generalisable to TUCKER-n, with metrics on the n spaces, and linear constraints on components. Next chapter is devoted to the study of ARAFAC/CANDECOMP models, with a proposition of an algorithm to compute on a given MWA such a model with a given non trivial metric on each space and linear constraints on components. This may be looked at as a extension of CANDELINC to non trivial metrics. Rank of a MWA is a crucial notion, and bibliographic overview of inequalities on rank is given, with an algorithm to improve most of these results. Finally, special attention is given to MWA on R2, because computation may go on to the end through easely solvable algebraic equations. A consequence is proposed to compute multiplicative polynomial models with independant factors. We conclude by opening the way to an easy study of MWA with algebraic constraints. |
