Résumé :	One-dimensional free surface hydraulic modelling improves the phenomena comprehension and enables a better control of water bodies. Hydraulic models are being developed and applied increasingly in number and variety. Due to the complexity of the modelling process and the different background of the modellers and the water resource managers, gaps in terms of lack of mutual understanding develop easily.
