| Résumé : | The ACF rivers comprehensive study lead by the US Army Corps of Engineers from 1992 to 1995 resulted in a water management model. It uses the software STELLA II and adresses water allocation in the watershed. Water quality was not integrated in the process. We built a model focusing on biological oxygen demand and the dissolved oxygen concentrations, based upon the resuls from the previous water quantity model. The results show that oxygen is not available for the aquatic life, especially upstream from some reservoirs. The situation is particularly critical during the summer. It is possible to improve dissolved oxygen concentration either by using more efficient wastewater treatment systems or by operating Lake Lanier, the biggest reservoir in the basin, differently. | Type de document : | Mémoire | Permalien de la notice : | https://infodoc.agroparistech.fr/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=112832 |
